IconPokemon Z-A Mega Dimension Latest Updates

Pokémon Legends: Z-A's first major DLC, Mega Dimension, will launch on December 10, 2025, bringing Trainers deeper into the mysteries surrounding Lumiose City and introducing an entirely new dimension known as Hyperspace Lumiose — a strange realm filled with ultra-powerful Pokémon and newly discovered Mega Evolutions.

Players can explore Hyperspace Lumiose, face ultra-powerful Pokémon beyond Level 100, and unlock new Mega Evolutions like Mega Baxcalibur and Mega Chimecho. Here's everything you need to know about Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension.

Pokemon Z-A Mega Dimension Latest Updates

Enter Hyperspace Lumiose

In Mega Dimension, players will uncover strange portals that open around Lumiose City. These gateways lead to Hyperspace Lumiose, a warped alternate version of the city overflowing with distorted energy. Inside, Trainers will face hyper-strong Pokémon — some of which exceed the standard Level 100 cap.

The new areas are packed with rare species, high-tier loot, and Pokémon that can Mega Evolve in ways never seen before. However, exploring Hyperspace isn't free. Players must rely on a unique new mechanic — Ansha's donuts, which act as fuel for their time spent in hyperspace.

Each donut has a specific calorie value that determines how long you can remain within the hyperspace zone.

Meet the New Characters: Ansha, Hoopa, and Korrina

The story introduces two new allies who play major roles in the unfolding chaos.

Ansha – A young chef who specializes in crafting donuts infused with special berries. These donuts are used by her partner Hoopa, a Mythical Pokémon with the power to open interdimensional portals. Ansha's creations are key to navigating Hyperspace Lumiose and may even hint at a deeper connection between food, emotion, and energy in the Z-A world.

Hoopa – Known for its ability to manipulate space, Hoopa's role in the DLC seems to go beyond travel. Its “rings” open access to areas filled with secret Pokémon and rare Mega Stones — and possibly even alternate versions of existing Pokémon.

Korrina – Returning from Kalos lore, Korrina is described as the successor to a line of Mega Evolution gurus. Her knowledge of Mega Stones, synergy with Lucario, and connection to Lumiose's history will guide players in mastering Mega Evolutions. She's also rumored to play a combat-support role within Team MZ missions.

New Mega Pokémon

The latest Mega Dimension trailer showcased two stunning new Mega Evolutions:

Mega Baxcalibur – This Ice/Dragon powerhouse grows a massive crystalline blade on its back. In its Mega form, Baxcalibur gains immense Attack and Defense, making it a frontline juggernaut capable of slicing through even high-level hyperspace foes.

Mega Chimecho – Don't underestimate this elegant Psychic-type. Mega Chimecho amplifies its sound waves into devastating pulses that can damage and disorient enemies. It's described as one of the more tactical Mega forms, excelling in support and crowd control.

Players can even earn the Baxcalibrite, the special Mega Stone needed to evolve Baxcalibur, by participating in Ranked Battles within the Z-A Battle Club. This feature ensures that competitive players have a reason to return to the game before and after the DLC launches.

While The Pokémon Company has yet to confirm the full Mega lineup, recent data leaks hint that up to 138 Pokémon and 19 new Mega Evolutions could be coming with Mega Dimension. Returning favorites like Lucario and Absol may gain alternate forms, while new entries such as Mega Golurk and Mega Darkrai are rumored to make their debut.

If these reports hold true, Mega Dimension may rival or even surpass the Scarlet and Violet DLCs in both content and scope.
