Walkthrough: Core Story Quests

Phase 1: Unlocking Basic Moves & Habitats

1. Water the Wasteland: Use Water Gun to spray the dry, brown tiles around Squirtle. Water four patches of dry grass to create the Tall Grass Habitat, then water four dry flowers to unlock the Pretty Flower Bed Habitat.
2. Recruit Bulbasaur: Return to the Tall Grass habitat, where Bulbasaur will appear. Speak to them to unlock their request.
3. Learn Leafage: Bulbasaur will teach you Leafage, a move that lets you place grass patches. To unlock it, water one more patch of dry grass nearby, then speak to Bulbasaur again when they say, “Let me teach you!”
4. Build a Home for Squirtle: Squirtle will request a home. Use Leafage to place four pieces of tall grass in a 4x4 formation to create another Tall Grass habitat. Speak to Squirtle again, select “Go for it!” and they'll move in.

Phase 2: Crafting & the Campfire

1. Professor Tangrowth's Gift: Speak to the professor again, who will give you a chair. Your Ditto will swallow it; spit it out with the A button and place it in front of them, then sit down to continue the story.
2. Unlocking the Workbench: Follow Bulbasaur to find a hidden workbench. Interact with it to collect basic wooden DIY recipes.
3. Craft the Campfire: Return to the workbench and craft a Campfire using 1 Sturdy Stick and 1 Stone. Place it in front of Professor Tangrowth.
4. Recruit Charmander: Use Leafage and Water Gun to create another Tall Grass habitat. Charmander will arrive and light the campfire with their flames, triggering a cutscene that ends with the group falling asleep.

Phase 3: The PC & Challenges

1. Waking Up at the Building: The next morning, follow Professor Tangrowth to the nearby building. Interact with the PC to launch the Poké Life app, where your Environment Level is marked “Terrible.”
2. Complete Daily Challenges: The PC's Challenges app unlocks three tasks to improve your environment:
   • Collect six Pokémon (create habitats with Leafage and Water Gun).
   • Water five trees (use Water Gun).
   • Gather 10 Sturdy Sticks (scattered around the area).
3. Collect Rewards: Once done, return to the PC to claim your rewards. Your Environment Level will rise to 2, unlocking the PC Shop.

Phase 4: Building the Leaf Den

1. Bulbasaur's Straw Bed: Speak to Bulbasaur, who wants a relaxing space. Craft a Straw Bed at the workbench using 2 Leaves, then place it in their habitat.
2. Buy the Leaf Den Kit: Speak to Professor Tangrowth, then buy a Leaf Den Kit from the PC Shop.
3. Attract Timburr: Create a Boulder-shaded Tall Grass habitat to attract Timburr. Once they arrive, lead them to your chosen build site.
4. Build the Den: The Leaf Den requires:
   • 3x Sturdy Stick
   • 3x Leaves
   • 1 Pokémon with the Build Specialty (Timburr)
   • 1 other Pokémon (any)
5. Furnish the Den: Place three pieces of furniture (bought from the shop, found, or crafted) inside the den, then speak to Timburr to complete the quest.
6. Claim Your Home: Speak to Charmander and Professor Tangrowth, then place the Ditto Flag on top of the Leaf Den to claim it as your own.

1. The Important Request: Speak to Professor Tangrowth to receive the “Rebuild the Pokémon Center” quest. Buy the Pokémon Center Rebuilding Kit from the PC for 1,000 Life Coins.
2. Find a Bulldoze Specialty Pokémon: You need a Pokémon with the Bulldoze ability. Speak to Squirtle, who directs you to a beach cave.
3. Rescue Onix: Navigate the cave to find Onix trapped behind blocks. Use Rock Smash to break them free, then speak to Onix.
4. Attract Slowpoke: To break Onix fully free, you need rain. Create a Seaside Tall Grass habitat near the beach to attract Slowpoke.
5. Build a Path for Slowpoke: Use Water Gun to water a path from Slowpoke's spawn to the professor. Clear debris and build stairs to help them navigate.
6. Complete “Yawn up a Storm!”: Speak to Slowpoke and select “Sure is!” to send them to the professor. Complete the quest to trigger rain, then return to Onix and use Rock Smash to free them.
