Mighty Dragonite has returned to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet as a 7-Star Tera Raid. This Dragonite has the Normal Tera Type and comes with the Mightiest Mark, making it a worthwhile target for players who missed the original event.

The raid runs until October 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. UTC. While Fighting-type attacks are super effective against Normal, Dragonite's moves and scripted actions make the fight more complicated than a simple type matchup.

Mighty Dragonite Raid Details

This Dragonite appears in a 7-Star Black Tera Raid at Level 100 and has the Normal Tera Type.

Its main moves are:

• Extreme Speed
• Scale Shot
• Dragon Dance
• Earthquake

Dragonite also has several scripted actions during the battle. The special Dragonite can only be caught once per save file, although you can continue fighting it for additional rewards after catching it.

Why Is Mighty Dragonite Difficult?

Dragonite's moveset can punish several common strategies.

Extreme Speed gives it strong priority damage, while Dragon Dance increases both Attack and Speed. Earthquake can also threaten Fighting-type Pokémon that would normally have an advantage against its Normal Tera Type.

Corviknight

Corviknight is one of the more practical options because it is immune to Earthquake and can turn its high Defense into damage with Body Press.

The shield activates at 75% HP, so the second half of the raid starts relatively early.

Once the shield is active, focus on consistent damage rather than unnecessary setup. If Dragonite clears your stat boosts, rebuild only what is needed for survival and damage.

Be especially careful when Dragonite reaches around 30% HP, as this is when its scripted Draco Meteor occurs. A low-health Pokémon can quickly lose control of the fight at this point.
