IconPalworld x Ultrakill Update – Home Sweet Home Arrives Dec 17

Palworld is kicking off December with one of its boldest updates yet. The Home Sweet Home update arrives on December 17, bringing a huge batch of base-building upgrades—and a full crossover with the acclaimed indie FPS Ultrakill.

It's an unexpected mix, but somehow it just works.

Become V1 or V2 and bring ultraviolence to the Palworld islands

Players will soon be able to roam the world as V1 or V2, complete with their iconic look and angel-like wings. The crossover also adds new Ultrakill-inspired weapons, including revolvers and shotguns built to turn even the toughest Pals into scrap in seconds.

And yes—the coin mechanic is here too. Toss a coin, fire a shot, and watch your bullet ricochet around corners or slam straight back into an enemy's face. If a Syndicate Thug thinks they can hide, they're in for a surprise.

Customize your base like never before

Outside of combat, the update finally lets you give your base a true makeover. The new painting and color-changing tools let you set the vibe—bright pink, deep red, clean blue, energetic green… whatever fits your style. It's the first time Palworld players can genuinely personalize their home instead of relying on fixed colors.

New enemies teased… and something big is lurking

The update trailer also hints at a massive new boss hiding in the shadows. No details yet, but it looks like something you'll want your strongest Pals (and maybe your new Ultrakill shotgun) ready for.

A surprising collab that makes perfect sense

Following the Terraria crossover earlier this year, the Ultrakill collab shows that more developers are willing to jump into Palworld's chaotic universe. Despite ongoing legal drama in the background, Pocketpair seems committed to pushing the game in fun, unexpected directions.

Meanwhile, the studio is also developing Palfarm, a calm farming sim set in the same universe. The mix of a cozy spin-off and a high-intensity crossover highlights just how flexible the Palworld brand has become—and how boldly it continues to experiment with tone.
