Even though we're now just a few months away from the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Pokémon Company is still running a "limited time" event for Pokémon Sword & Shield.

Those of you who have been looking forward to getting Shiny Eternatus in Pokemon Sword & Shield on the Nintendo Switch family of systems should know that distribution has started today. If you live in the US or Canada, you will need to visit your local GameStop store. Players in Australia and New Zealand can get Shiny Eternatus from EB Games. The event runs from today until October 1, 2022, so players will be able to head to the store and get a special code card for the Shining Eternal.

Serebii Update: Pokémon Sword & Shiny Shiny Eternatus is now available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Runs until September 30, 2022.

To redeem Shiny Eternatus, you must launch your copy of the game, select Mystery Gift from the menu, select Get with Code/Password, enter it, and the gift will arrive. Make sure to save too!
