A new Mystery Gift event is live in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and it gives every player a free Alpha Charizard — no battles, no quests, just a simple code. This distribution celebrates the release of the Mega Dimension DLC, so make sure to grab it before it expires.

 

 

What You Get

Alpha Pokémon are bigger, stronger variants with boosted stats, and this Charizard comes with a special moveset and ability:

Level: 36

Ability: Solar Power

Ball: Cherish Ball

Moves: Solar Beam, Flamethrower, Dragon Claw, Air Slash

It's a great early-game power boost and an excellent Fire/Flying-type to carry into the Mega Dimension content.

How to Claim Your Free Alpha Charizard

Before redeeming any Mystery Gift code, make sure you've unlocked the Link Play feature. This happens automatically during Main Mission 3: A New Life in Lumiose City, when you first meet Mable at the Research Lab.

Once unlocked, follow these steps:

Open the main menu (press X).

Scroll down and choose Link Play.

Select Mystery Gift.

Choose Get with Code/Password.

Enter the code: B1G0006

Confirm and wait for the game to verify the code.

Select Charizard Gift when prompted.

Your Alpha Charizard will be sent directly to your Boxes.

You only need an active internet connection — no Nintendo Switch Online subscription required.

 

Why You Should Grab It

It has a unique move in Solar Beam, which Charizard normally doesn't learn.

Alpha stats and size make it a strong teammate early on.

Perfect preparation for the Mega Dimension DLC, where enemy Pokémon can exceed level 100.
