Pokémon Legends: Z-A Season 6 Ranked Battles Rewards, Rules & How to Join
Ranked Battles Season 6 is officially coming to Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and this season isn’t just a routine ladder reset. With Swampertite locked behind Rank S and several popular Mega Stones returning as promotion rewards, Season 6 gives Trainers clear, practical reasons to jump back into competitive play—or try Ranked Battles for the first time.
The season runs from January 29, 2026, at 06:00 UTC to February 19, 2026, at 01:59 UTC, featuring fast-paced, four-player real-time battles inside the Z-A Battle Club.

Ranked Battles Season 6 Overview
Ranked Battles in Pokémon Legends: Z-A reward consistency more than perfection. You’ll earn points after every match, climb steadily from Rank Z to Rank A, and unlock items that directly support team building and long-term progression.
What makes Season 6 stand out is its reward focus. Instead of experimental rules or format changes, this season emphasizes access to Mega Evolution resources—including Swampertite and returning Mega Stones—alongside staples like Exp. Candy, Bottle Caps, and Mega Shards. Even low-intensity participation can meaningfully improve your roster.

Eligible Pokémon and Team Rules
Eligible Pokémon
Lumiose Pokédex: No. 001–232
Hyperspace Pokédex: No. 001–132
Pokémon from Lv. 1 to Lv. 100 can be registered, but all Pokémon are automatically set to Lv. 50 during Ranked Battles.
Each team may only include one Pokémon per species, meaning duplicate Pokémon aren’t allowed—even if they’re different forms or evolution stages.
Restricted Legendary Pokémon
Only one of the following special Pokémon may be included on your team:
Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Mewtwo, Kyogre, Groudon, or Rayquaza
Held Item Restrictions
Pokémon are allowed to hold items during Ranked Battles. However, duplicate held items are not permitted, so item selection plays a meaningful role in team composition.
Ranked Battles Rewards Explained
Ranked Battles offer three reward types:
Battle rewards are granted after every match, win or lose.
Promotion rewards are earned when you advance to a new rank.
Season rewards are based on the rank you finish with when Season 6 ends.
Promotion and battle rewards include items like Exp. Candy, Bottle Caps, Gold Bottle Caps, and Mega Shards. Mega Shards can later be exchanged for Mega Stones at Quasartico Inc. after sufficient story progress.
Season rewards follow the familiar Ranked Battles structure used in previous seasons, with higher ranks earning premium items and lower ranks still receiving participation rewards—as long as at least one match is completed.
