IconPokemon Scarlet and Violet Leaker release DLC trailer ahead of Pokemon Day

Ahead of Pokemon Day's speculative and anticipated DLC reveal for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, well-known leaker Riddler Khu released a series of strange teasers: Mega Charizard X, Primal Reversion Groudon, Serperior, Galarian Darmanitan Zen Mode, Reshiram, Nihilego, and Ultra Necrozma . Khu have always released their exploits as riddles, but this one has many fans scratching their heads, especially considering these seem to be BDSP/SV style sprites.

For the uninitiated, Riddler Khu is one of the most trusted leakers in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet community. In the past, they have leaked accurate information about Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (including their pre-reveal debuts), and other Pokemon-related content. Longtime followers are sometimes able to piece together their jokes, but this time it's really weird.

However, Pokemon Day will take place on February 27, and many are looking forward to Nintendo hosting a Pokemon Presents Direct. This is where many people want to find out about any upcoming DLC, so it's only fitting that Khu's trailer is relevant here. Maybe this trailer is just around the corner and Khu is just teasing the addition of these Pokemon, which in turn hints at the return of Mega Evolution in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, but that seems unlikely. Khu said some of the images were a joke, and if there was a guess, it would be tied to the Mega Evolution Pokemon.

Another possible theory is that each Pokemon somehow represents a new type of Pokemon or a new Paradox introduced in the DLC, meaning two new Fire/Dragons, a Fire/Ground, a Grass , a Fire/Ice, a Poison/Rock, and a Psychic/Dragon. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet tease Ultra Beasts themselves, so their addition may be on the nose. Another possible theory is that the Gen 6 Pokemon listed here support the Kalos DLC theory, especially since Khu followed up on his original tweet by posting AZ Floette, which also doubles as short for Area Zero.

All in all, it's possible that one of these is true, none of these are true, or something else entirely, but Khu fans are busy reasoning and trying to understand what they're implying. Without a doubt, this is one of their most pervasive and confusing riddles, but hopefully fans will find the answer on Pokemon Day.
