The era of Pokémon Sword and Shield is coming to an end, and it went live in the eighth-gen game before Violet and Scarlet took over the last Wild Area Event.

The Wilderness area event in Pokémon Sword and Shield has changed again, for the last time. From now on, Pokémon Co. will focus on in-game events for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

This wild event is a Max Raid battle that will remain active until the end of Pokémon Sword and Shield's online feature. As of now, there is no end date and it will likely remain online for years. You will be able to meet Gigantamax Snorlax. Beyond that, there are plenty of other Pokémon to contend with.

Max Raid Battle features Pokémon like Gigantamax Snorlax. That's all we know right now, but we'll add more details to this post when they become available.
