PKMBuy - Leaks of Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Pokédex and Mass Outbreaks

A new leak claims to have revealed a number of new Pokémon entries that will appear in the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet/Violet.

A Bulbagarden forum user named Joker901 shared an image on the site that appeared to show 72 new entries. The list includes information about upcoming evolutions of Pokémon that haven't been revealed yet, as well as information on previous generations of creatures that lack evolutionary routes. Some series mainstays have apparently been earmarked for brand new evolutions, including Girafarig, Murkrow, Bisharp and Dunsparce.

The image also mentions the new Pokémon categories that are rumored to appear in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Popular monsters like Salamance and Gardevoir appear to transform into ancient and future categories of Pokémon, which are reported to behave like ancestors or descendants of current Pokémon. Pokémon in the "regional fakes" category were also mentioned, possibly including Diglett, Dugtrio, and the first-generation unnamed Water-type Pokémon.

Three new initial Pokémon (Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Sprigatito) also appeared, although their evolutionary names didn't. However, the figure does suggest that the eventual evolutionary form of each initiator will be of a dual type. Sprigatito's final form will be Grass-Dark, Fuecoco's Fire-Ghost, and Quaxly's Water-Fighting. Fan-favorite internet sweetheart Lechonk will apparently also get some kind of evolution.

The typings of Koraidon and Miraidon, two of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's legendary Pokémon, were also revealed. The former will be Dragon-Fighting and their opponent will be Dragon-Electric. Based on the Japanese origin of the Pokémon names, it is believed that Koraidon will belong to the Ancient class and Miraidon will belong to the Future class. "Korai" in Japanese means ancient, and "Mirai" means future.

Fans have been riding the wave without reliable information from the developers of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which has flooded social media over the past few weeks. From reports of a brand new "Crystalline" form to the name of the game's region inadvertently popping up online, unconfirmed sources appear to have revealed a lot about the game ahead of any official announcement.

The leak of Mass Outbreaks

A new Pokemon Crimson and Violet "leak" claims several popular features from Pokemon Legends: Arceus will return in the next game. The Twitter account Centro Leaks, which usually aggregates Pokemon rumors, claims to have a new source with information on upcoming Pokemon Crimson and Violet games. It's worth noting that Centro's sources claim that both Mass Outbreaks and Alpha Pokemon will return as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as will the size differences between similarly sized Pokemon.

All three features first appeared in Pokemon Legends: Arceus as part of the game's unique approach to capturing Pokemon. Alpha Pokémon are larger Pokemon with higher stats, usually higher than other Pokemon in the area. They are more aggressive than typical wild Pokemon and have red eyes when they appear in the wild. Centro claims similar mechanics will appear in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, although they won't be called Alpha Pokemon.

Mass outbreaks happen randomly when a group of Pokemon of the same species appears in the wild. Mass outbreaks have a significantly higher chance of shining than the usual wild encounters, meaning players often target massive outbreaks to support their shiny collections.

It's unclear how Alpha Pokemon and Mass Outbreaks will play out in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Both of these mechanics make sense in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as players, can attempt to catch Alpha Pokemon without engaging in combat, while massive bursts can be cleared in minutes using stealth and items No need to enter the battle once. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are bringing back traditional capture and encounter mechanics, so mass outbreaks can be a bit more tedious.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be the first truly open-world Pokemon game and the first to offer a true multiplayer experience beyond fighting and capturing Pokemon. Nintendo has been tight-lipped about new games, so it's hard to say whether these leaks are accurate. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be released on November 18th.
