A lot of trainers think Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are too easy, then you should be looking for 6-star raids. These Tera Raids are the hardest challenges in the game, and you need to have the best Pokémon to win. They're so tough that you can't even use them until you beat the game!

How to Unlock 5 Star Raids

Before you can even consider unlocking the 6-star raid, you need to unlock that rank first.

If you've been running around the Paldea region, you've probably checked out the many Tera Raid Crystals scattered across the land. These are 1, 2, 3 and 4-star raids. However, once you beat the game and earn points, you'll notice that some of these crystals now have a 5-star rating.

5-star Raids are much harder than the previous ones, and you need powerful high-level Pokémon to beat them. However, they're worth doing as you can often get Herba Mystica from them, which you'll need if you want to make Shiny Boosting Sandwiches.

How to Unlock 6 Star Raids
Once you've reached the post-match phase of Scarlet & Violet and confirmed that the area has 5-star raids, you can start unlocking the hardest content in the game.

First, you'll need to rematch all eight Gym Masters on Geeta's behalf. Next, you need to beat the first House Aces Tournament. Finally, you'll need to have hosted a series of 5-star raids.

Once you've done all of these things, you'll get a call from your homeroom teacher, Jacques. He'll tell you that some more powerful raids are starting to appear in the area, and he needs your help to investigate them.

How to Find 6 Star Raids
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to find 6-star raids. You have to find them by looking for Raid markers on the map. You may also need to host some more raids with friends before they start showing up.

Find the crystal you want to try out in the overworld and examine it - the map and the color of the crystal will tell you what type it is. When you examine a crystal, you can also tell what star it is.

If you find a 6-star raid, make sure to bring your best Pokémon - we recommend bringing something above level 90.

6 Star Raid Rewards

While some might just love the challenge of a 6-star raid, the real reason you want to do it is for the rewards.

EXP Candy, Rare Candy, Tera Shards, Feathers, Mints, sellable items, Bottle Caps, and crafting materials for making TMs are just some of the rewards you can earn for winning. Plus, if you win, you'll have a chance to catch a Tera Pokémon.
