Pokémon Legends: Arceus update makes Shiny Charm more accessible
Shiny Charm is a big part of Pokémon Legends: Arceus when it comes to shiny hunts. Like the other games in the series that include it, Shiny Charm greatly increases the spawn rate of Shiny Pokémon, but it takes some extra effort to actually get this important item. Thankfully, getting the Shiny Charm in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is now easier thanks to the latest version update.
In the main story of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Professor Laventon asks the player to fill up the first Pokédex. This is in line with the other main task proposed by Arceus to "meet every Pokémon". Obtaining the Shiny Charm in Legends: Arceus requires more than just beating the main story, as players first need to achieve Research Rank 10 in all Pokédex entries. From there, they can talk to Laventon to get the Shiny Charm.
However, a bug in the game's launch reportedly prevented some players from getting the shiny charm from Laventon, despite fulfilling the requirements to unlock it. It's understandably annoying -- it means tens of hours of hard work that doesn't pay off. And it's especially frustrating for players who specifically want it to help Shiny hunt. It's not just a few hours wasted - it also means that Pokémon Legends: Arceus' shiny rate won't increase.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus update fixes Shiny Charm issues
This Shiny Charm bug has now been fixed. Update 1.1.1 fixes this bug, so players don't have to worry about missing out on getting the shiny charms in Pokémon Legends: Arceus - as long as they meet the Pokédex requirements and talk to Laventon. Not sure how many players actually had this problem, but it was enough to cause a lot of complaints - and it's great that it's finally fixed.
Catching shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is much easier than in past games, thanks to a combination of factors such as Mass Outbreaks increasing the rate of shiny and seeing Pokémon walk around in the wild, making shiny easier to spot. Shiny Charm takes these ratios even further and is now easier to obtain, as a bug that prevented players from getting it has been fixed.
While some new content has been added in the Daybreak update, and some smaller patches have provided fixes, not a lot of new content has been added to Pokémon Legends: Arceus since its launch. Hopefully, more DLC is on the way - although nothing has been officially announced so far. In the meantime, players can try out additions to their shiny Pokémon collections while waiting for new content to be added. Buy Shiny Alpha Pokemon now!
